Delphi three-phase induction motors are enclosed and externally ventilated. The frame is made of die-cast aluminium alloy up to size 132, and of cast iron from size 160 to 355.
 
All DELPHI motors are three-phase, multi-voltage, multi-frequency 50/60Hz, insulation class F (H on request), S1 continuous operation, protection class IP55 (IP56, 66 and 67 on request), efficiency class IE2, IE3 or IE4, tropicalized winding, suitable for inverter power supply.
 
Bearings selected for their quietness and reliability and, to achieve the same objectives, the cage rotor is dynamically balanced.
 
Very thick and made of a special plastic material, the fan cover is:
